The City Nature Challenge is a free, crowd-sourced event aimed at documenting global biodiversity while fostering a greater appreciation for nature. From Friday, April 24th to Monday, April 27th, 2026, use the free iNaturalist app to take photos of local, wild organisms and share your observations with a global network of community scientists. How to participate: Use the iNaturalist app to document local flora and fauna from April 24th to 27th. It's as easy as walking outside, snapping a photo of something wild, and clicking "upload"!

Help discover the wonderful diversity of species that make Ada County special and learn more as your photos are identified by volunteers across the globe. Results will be published May 13, 2026.
